Home sales in the Peoria metro area declined by 4.3 percent in the third quarter compared to the same period last year. The Peoria Area Association of Realtors reported that 1,396 homes were sold in the third quarter compared to 1,458 sold in the third quarter in 2012. The average sale price was $143,778 compared to $156,324 a year ago.
